PhD Course in Service Design for Socially Innovative Services (23-26 May 2016)

This PhD course will focus on the contribution of service design to social innovation initiatives. Such initiatives are often generated by spontaneous actions of individuals or groups of citizens, but the contribution of service designers may help providing them with a structure, a consolidated service system and can even create the basis for their scalability.

For this reason the intersection between service design and social innovation represents an interesting ground for research.

The PhD course is also connected to the activities of the DESIS network. The network, which include Aalborg University, brings together schools and research enters that are working on Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability. Several participants will come from the institutions connected with this network.
